The role

As experienced microwave developer, you are expected to have a vital role in the R&D team to solve problems and identify improvements using measurements, simulations and theoretical analysis. The ideal candidate has an extensive experience with various aspects of microwave technology and can drive technology improvements of our products.

Responsibilities

In close collaboration with our R&D team

• Find ways to further improve signal integrity and ensure its proper implementation
• Work with our suppliers to find the best components to use in our instruments
• Work out improved verification and testing strategies in collaboration with our manufacturer
• Drive improved calibration strategies, both in terms of performance and speed
• Ensure optimum usage of microwave instrumentation for best performance and speed
• Optimize antennas for improved performance
• Contribute to our electromagnetic modelling and simulation effort
• Actively participate in and help to drive our university and partner collaborations

Qualifications

• A PhD or a M.Sc. with a few years of working experience in microwave technology, both theoretically and practically.
• The more of the following you have experience with, the better: Antennas, network analyzers, calibration, s-parameters, electromagnetic interference, electromagnetic simulators
• Experience in working with software, e.g. Python, Matlab
• Well structured, analytic and paying attention to details
• Experience from medical devices is not a requirement but a great interest is a must
• Ability to clearly express yourself orally and written in English. Swedish knowledge is a plus but not a requirement

Location

Medfield Diagnostics is located in Gothenburg, Sweden. While some remote work could be accepted, this role predominantly requires physical presence in the office.
